Met Chandelier

Manufacturer:  Lobmeyr, Austria

 

Material:  Nickel-plated brass frame with black wooden balls and handcut European crystals. The original Met Chandelier, a gift from the Austrian government to the Metropolitan Opera House in 1966, still hangs at the Met today, surrounded by smaller chandeliers that are similar to the chandelier pictured here.

 

Sizes: This chandelier is also available in larger sizes and is availalbe in a version that is entirely nickel plated (balls are nickel-plated rather than black wood). Please call or email the store for information and pricing.
